What do you think will be the biggest challenge you face when motivating students in an online course environment?


Biggest challenge is to first get them into online environment, process started by influencing the tech-savvy learners and than moving towards engaging student leaders , expressing views , communicating with them online and further it leads to the involvement of all the learners.Motivating the learners in an online environment is challenging as different obstacles like
Social interactions, - hesitation to show views /expressions
infrastructural issues, -
time management , resources unavailability or inappropriate
tangible support systems, - physical resources like books, faculty
learner's own motivation and
lack of technical & academic skills - ability to work with online learning technology.
 hinders their process of learning through online mode.

But, the challenges can be overcome by setting clear expectations, making the invisible into visible with social presence of a faculty,involving in discussions , involve in group work to increase collaboration among them. also by providing them with support expectations, technology expectations.
